Download Xcode
We usually use the latest available Xcode, but from time to time we need to use older versions, and even have multiple versions installed in parallel. Downloading Xcode from the App Store is slow and that way you'll have only one version of Xcode installed which is likely to be auto-updated, which may not be what you want at all times.
That's why it's suggested that you download and install Xcode manually. You can do that from the Developer portal, however that download is usually very slow. That's why we recommend using the RobotAndPencils' Xcodes app. There is a GUI and a Command line version, up to your preference. It has several advantages:
you have a list of all known Xcodes to download
you can install/uninstall parallel versions at the same time
downloads are much faster as it uses Aria to start up to 16 simultaneous download streams
unxips are much faster if you enable experiment unxippint (Xcodes > Settings > Experiments)
Local share
We also have a local share called Loki. It's available when connected to DECODE Wi-Fi network. Search for Loki server, log in as guest and access Xcodes (TODO expand this later)
